Quality Scores Explained
Every company receives a Quality Score calculated from its financial data. The score helps quickly assess a company's fundamental strength.
Score Components (each 0-100)
Growth
Revenue growth, net income growth, and EPS growth trends. Higher growth = higher score.
Profitability
Gross margin, operating margin, net margin, and ROE. Measures how efficiently the company generates profit.
Cash Flow
Free cash flow margin, cash conversion, operating cash flow quality. Shows actual cash generation ability.
Valuation
P/E ratio, P/B ratio, dividend yield relative to peers. Lower valuation = potentially better value.
Financial Health
Debt/equity ratio, current ratio, interest coverage. Measures balance sheet strength and solvency.
Rating Scale
Ratings are based on the overall score: Strong Buy (>70), Buy (55-70), Hold (40-55), Sell (25-40), Avoid (<25)
Risk Scores Explained
Market Risk Scores are calculated from historical trading data (not fundamentals). They measure how risky a stock is from a market/trading perspective.
Components
Volatility (30%)
How much the stock price swings day to day. Based on annualized standard deviation of daily returns.
Liquidity (25%)
How easily you can buy/sell. Measures average daily turnover, trade frequency, and zero-volume days.
Drawdown (25%)
Largest peak-to-trough decline in the analysis period. Measures downside risk.
Trading Activity (20%)
Consistency of trading. Stocks that trade rarely or erratically score higher risk.
Risk Ratings
Score 0-100: Very Low (<20), Low (20-40), Medium (40-60), High (60-80), Very High (>80)
A stock can have a great Quality Score but a high Risk Score (or vice versa). Use both together for a complete picture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is StockRadar.Live free to use?
Yes. All market data, company analysis, screener, charts, and sector rankings are free. Creating an account (also free) unlocks personal features like Portfolio, Watchlist, and Price Alerts.
How often is the data updated?
CSE stock prices are updated daily after market close (5:00 PM Sri Lanka time). Financial data is updated when new annual reports are processed. Quality and risk scores are recalculated after each data update.
Where does the financial data come from?
Financial data is extracted from company annual reports using AI, and also imported from official CSE market data feeds. All monetary values are in their original currency (typically LKR).
What does 'Insufficient Data' mean?
Some companies may not have enough historical financial data for a reliable quality score. This typically means fewer than 2 years of data is available. The score will become more accurate as more data is added.
Can I export data?
Currently, data export is not available through the UI. The platform is designed for on-screen analysis and decision-making.
How are dividends tracked?
Dividend data comes from two sources: the dividendPerShare field in financial reports, and AI extraction from annual reports which captures ex-dates, pay dates, and dividend types (final, interim, special).
Is this investment advice?
No. StockRadar.Live provides data and analysis tools to help you make informed decisions. Always do your own research and consider consulting a financial advisor before investing.
